Frequently Asked Questions
Our comprehensive initial consultation includes an in depth consultation, assessment, and includes hands-on treatment. Not only will you get to experience customised Chiropractic treatment, you’ll leave this visit knowing what’s wrong and how you can right it.
At your first appointment we'll ask about your symptoms, medical history, lifestyle and what you're hoping to achieve. From there we carry out a physical examination to understand what's going on. We'll explain our findings clearly and, where appropriate, begin treatment in the same session. Most first appointments last around 45-60 minutes.
This varies depending on your condition, how long you've had it, and how your body responds to treatment. At your first appointment we'll give you a clear care plan with a realistic timeline. Some patients feel significant relief after 2-3 sessions; others with longer-standing conditions benefit from a longer course of care. We'll always be transparent about what we recommend and why
Most patients find treatment comfortable. Some techniques involve a short, precise movement of the joint which can produce a clicking sound - this is normal and not harmful. In some cases you may feel some mild soreness for 24-48 hours after your first session, similar to how you might feel after exercise. We always discuss options with you prior to any treatment and work within your comfort level. All techniques will be adapted as required.
